Tahoe RCD is hiring two Forestry Interns to assist with forestry tasks such as timber cruising, forest inventory, tree marking, flagging, GIS, exotic plant control, vegetation monitoring, and wildlife monitoring. The Forestry Interns will assist a RPF on projects focused on wildfire resiliency and forest health in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Projects include Community Wildfire Protection Plan project implementation, post-fire restoration and reforestation, hazard tree evaluation, and education and outreach. The first round of applications are due May 1, 2026.
