Please pick up your map between 1-3pm at 1383 Mt. Olympia Circle in South Lake Tahoe. Biking and carpooling are encouraged.

UC Davis researchers noted several bright spots in their annual Lake Tahoe health report, issued today: The 2007 Angora Fire had no significant impact on lake clarity; a small test of a method to kill invasive clams worked; the pollutant phosphorus was at its lowest level in 29 years; and free-floating algae in the lake have generally remained constant since 1996.
Did you know that according to NRCS/USDA calculations, an average home with no Best Management Practices (BMPs) implemented can result in up to 3½ tons of soil erosion per year? In contrast, homes with functioning BMPs installed result in only zero to 0.3 tons of soil erosion per year.
