BMP Site Evaluation Process
You:- Request a Site Evaluation in California from the Tahoe RCD (530-543-1501 x 113)
The Tahoe RCD:
- Visits your property
- Creates your BMP site evaluation
- Mails the evaluation to you
You:
- Install the BMPs in accordance with the evaluation - Call a contractor from our 2011 BMP Contractor List or install them yourself - refer to the Materials' Resource List
- The Tahoe RCD is always available for technical assistance during installation
- Take photos during installation of excavated systems that are 3" or more in depth
- Ensure that all treatments are installed in accordance to the BMP site evaluation
- Water test any conveyance system to ensure that all water flows into the adjoining infiltration system
- Sign the Release Authorization Form and return to Tahoe RCD
- Call for a final inspection
The Tahoe RCD:
- Performs the final inspection
- If everything is in compliance with the evaluation, you receive a BMP compliance certificate
