After you have received your site evaluation from TRCD or completed your own BMP design, you can install BMPs yourself or hire someone to install them for you.

If you choose to install your own BMPs, TRCD has many technical tip sheets that will help explain the installation of specific treatments. Staff are available to answer questions over the phone or on-site to assist with the installation process.

Before you begin any excavation, it is imperative that underground utilites are located and marked to avoid damage or service interruption. Underground Service Alert must be contacted two working days (48 hours) before any excavation occurs. The service is free, and can be requested at 811. If you prefer to hire someone to install your BMPs, you may wish to download TRCD's 2007 Contractors List. Many of the professionals on the list have attended the BMP Contractors' Workshop held each April.
